Day 01: Huaraz – Llaca Valley – Base Camp (4770m).
We start the day with a delicious breakfast and get ready to head towards the Llaca Valley on a roughly 2.5-hour car ride. Once there, we begin a hike of around 3 hours to reach the base camp. (The trail to the camp is a rocky and dirty path that becomes steep and demanding during the first two hours) approximately. At the base camp, we will set up our equipment and spend the night on the mountain. This will be the starting point for our mountaineering adventure, surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes and ready to experience a unique journey in the Cordillera Blanca.
Day 02: Base Camp – Summit (5686 m) – Huaraz:
Once at the base camp and with our energy replenished thanks to a delicious breakfast, we begin our ascent to the summit of Nevado Vallunaraju (5686 m). After a short climb on rocks, we will reach the glacier where we will equip ourselves with the necessary tools for climbing. For approximately 5 hours, we will climb up the snowy slope until we reach the summit, where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the Cordillera Blanca and its surroundings.
After taking photos and admiring the scenery for a few minutes, we will start our descent towards the moraine. We will pack up our tents and begin the descent towards the road, where our transport back to Huaraz awaits us.
