We will pick up the participants at 5 a.m. and begin the journey north for about three and a half hours until we reach the majestic Huascaran National Park. During the trip, we will enjoy the scenery of the famous Llanganuco lakes. Once we arrive at the starting point of our hike in Cebolla Pampa, we carefully load our equipment onto donkeys and begin the trek towards the Pisco Base Camp, leaving behind the charming plain of Llanganuco and Yurajcoral. The hike takes about three hours uphill on a zigzagging trail. Once we arrive at Base Camp, we set up our equipment and meet with the guide to plan for the ascent the following day. After enjoying a nutritious dinner, we retire early to our sleeping bags to rest and prepare for the exciting climb that awaits us the next day.
DAY 02: Base Camp – Summit (5752 m).
On this day, we wake up early and enjoy a delicious breakfast before embarking on our exciting adventure. We leave our camp and head north, ascending a small slope before crossing the long moraine and finally reaching the impressive glacier. After a steep ascent, we reach the Pisco col and begin the final climb to the summit at 5752 meters.
The final ascent on the glacier is a unique and thrilling experience that leads us to enjoy stunning views from the top. After reaching the summit, we begin the descent back to base camp following the same route we took to get there.
DAY 03: Base Camp – Laguna 69 (4604 m) – Huaraz.
After enjoying our last breakfast at Base Camp, we will get ready to explore one of the most impressive treks that will take us to Lake 69. Once there, we will have the opportunity to contemplate the beautiful landscape offered by this spectacular body of water, an experience that will be engraved in our memories forever.
To conclude our experience, we will descend through the normal trail of Lake 69, enjoying a descent of approximately two more hours, where we can appreciate the various shades of nature in all its splendor.
