Discover the natural wonder of the lesser-explored hiking route in Peru’s Cordillera Blanca! This hiking activity is perfect for acclimatization and will take you through a beautiful landscape at the foot of the impressive Tsucallaraju mountain. At the end of the trail awaits an incredible turquoise green lagoon, surrounded by the lush vegetation typical of the high Andean region. Join us on this exciting adventure and let us take you to explore one of the hidden gems of the Cordillera Blanca.

We head north and arrive at the beautiful province of Carhuaz, where we make a stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then, we take the Carhuaz-Chacas route and pass through the picturesque villages of Shilla and Catay until we reach the stunning Ulta (Pampa) ravine.

From there, we begin our hike towards the beautiful Hualcacocha lagoon, which will take approximately four and a half hours. During the hike, we can admire a variety of flora and fauna as we walk under majestic Queñual trees. Additionally, we will enjoy spectacular views of the Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Ulta and Chucllaraju snow-capped peaks. And at the end of the day, we will return to the starting point.
