Embark on this epic journey and discover the natural beauty that surrounds you! Don’t miss the chance to challenge yourself and create unforgettable memories!.
Start your hike at the Recrish junction and begin your ascent towards the stunning Laguna Ahuac. From this natural viewpoint, we can admire the beauty of Huaraz city and the Callejón de Huaylas valley, with its charming countryside, valleys, rivers, and small towns, as well as an extended view of the majestic Cordillera Negra mountain range.
Once at Laguna Ahuac, the trail continues with an uphill zigzag, with some sections that require walking on rocks. Finally, you will reach the pass, where we can enjoy breathtaking views of the most important mountains in the Cordillera Blanca. This is one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the region, offering a close-up view of Vallunaraju mountain, the twin Mullaca and Carhuac lagoons, and the highest peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, such as Huascarán, Chopicalqui, and Huandoy.
Descending from the pass will take us about 40 minutes until we reach the mentioned lagoons. After visiting Mullaca and Carhuac, the trail continues with a steep and zigzagging descent along the river. Finally, after a long horizontal walk parallel to a pre-Inca water channel, we will arrive at the beautiful Laguna Radián.
