Welcome to our hiking route in the Cordillera Blanca, an adventure for those seeking to explore a less-traveled terrain and to enjoy the natural beauty of the place. The hike we offer is an ideal option to acclimatize before venturing into more demanding terrains, and it is located northeast of the city of Carhuaz.

During the hike, we will visit three impressive turquoise-colored lagoons, each with their own characteristics and charm. These lagoons are surrounded by abundant high-Andean vegetation, creating a magical and lively atmosphere. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to admire the majestic Hualcan snow-capped mountain, which will accompany us throughout the hike.

Our team of expert guides will ensure that you enjoy the hike to the fullest, sharing interesting information about the flora and fauna of the place, and guaranteeing that you feel comfortable and safe at all times.

Starting from Huaraz towards the province of Carhuaz, we will begin our journey towards the Cordillera Blanca. During the trip, you will be able to admire the diverse agricultural fields and domestic animals of the surrounding communities, as well as enjoy a panoramic view of the Huascaran snow-capped mountain from the lookout point.

Once we reach the Shonquilpampa control point, we will begin our hike along an initially almost flat path, before continuing with a zigzagging uphill climb alongside the Chucchun River until we reach the Rajupaquinan lagoon. After an hour and a half of hiking, we will reach the impressive 513 lagoon, where we will enjoy our box lunch and take photographs of this spectacular place.

For the return journey, we will take the same path that led us to the lagoons, allowing us to enjoy the views in reverse. Our guide will be available at all times to ensure that you enjoy the hike to the fullest, in complete safety and learning about the flora and fauna of the area.
